I get obsessed with food. Meaning, there are times I find something I really like and I will eat it almost every single day. Lately it's Greek yogurt with apple. It's my favorite breakfast meal and it involves no cooking so it's easy and perfect for when I'm in a rush in the mornings, which is most days. I'm not a fan of the taste of plain Greek yogurt, but I love eating it because it has so much protein and calcium. I like the original, Fage and a small container of their 2% yogurt has 20% calcium and 12 grams of protein. But I find the yogurt has a slight chalky taste so I mix in some of my favorite ingredients to mask it.
To add a little sweetness, I swirl in some honey and a dash or two of ground cinnamon. Then I top it with some granola. I've been using a banana flavored one from Bear Naked that I really like. Finally I add some apple and julienne it so it looks a little fancy.
This takes me only 5 minutes to make and it's a perfect mix of protein and carbs so it keeps me full until lunchtime.
